2025 Spring Semester Graduates: UIUC Honors Over 11,000 Students with Dean’s List and Bronze Tablet Distinction
The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) has proudly announced its 2025 spring semester graduates, awarding more than 11,760 degrees and certificates. This remarkable academic milestone also includes the naming of 8,656 students to the Dean’s List and the selection of 314 Bronze Tablet honorees, recognizing the university’s most distinguished scholars.
Dean’s List – Top 20% of Each College
To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must complete at least 12 credit hours for a letter grade and rank in the top 20% of their college or program. This honor reflects consistent academic excellence and is one of UIUC’s most prominent recognitions for enrolled undergraduates.
Bronze Tablet – University’s Highest Graduation Honor
The Bronze Tablet, dating back to 1925, is UIUC’s most prestigious academic distinction for graduating seniors. It is reserved for the top 3% of students in each graduating class, with a required GPA of at least 3.5—though in many programs, a GPA closer to 3.9 was needed to qualify in 2025.
Bronze Tablet honorees have their names permanently engraved on a tablet displayed in the University Library, a tradition that began with just 14 names and now celebrates hundreds of exceptional graduates each year.
